👋 Hi there! Welcome to my website.
Welcome to my website.
I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Oklahoma. I obtained my Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Georgia, with emphases in health communication and quantitative research methods.
My research interests focus on message effects, risk perception, and behavior change in the realms of health, risk, and science communication. In particular, I study the role of different message design strategies in shaping people’s responses to persuasive messages. My research also touches upon the impact of audience characteristics on message processing, information seeking, and communication about social determinants of health.
